Evaluation of the Safety and Efficacy of Computer Enhanced Robotic System (daVinci ®) in Infrarenal Aortic Reconstruction for Aneurysmal Disease

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved to conduct a clinical study to determine the feasibility of performing computer-assisted endoscopic infrarenal aortic reconstruction for aortic aneurysmal disease and aorto- iliac occlusive disease using the Intuitive Surgical, Inc.'s daVinci Surgical System.

The aortic reconstructive procedure will be performed with an open midline incision. The daVinci Surgical System will be used to dissect and perform the reconstruction.
